2009 International Travel Program


Join the San Diego Museum of Art to celebrate art and architecture from Europe to Asia. SDMA’s tours feature private visits to art galleries, guest lecturers, and expert guides providing you exclusive educational and travel experiences.

The Museum works with a select group of tour companies to take you on unique adventures. Their experiences with these locations make for ideal itineraries that enhance your journeys.

The Grand Tour of Egypt
March 9–20, 2009

Embark on a twelve-day journey through the historical wonders of Egypt and witness 5,000 years of artistic achievements. The tour begins in Cairo with guided sightseeing of the Sphinx, Great Pyramids, and the seaport of Alexandria. A stop in Memphis welcomes you to the marvelous statue of Ramses II, followed by a three-night Nile River cruise prior to your arrival at Luxor and Aswan. Learn about various monumental highlights such as the Temple of Amon Ra, Valley of Kings, and the Temple of Horus.

 

Japan: Kyoto
June 1-9, 2008
