The San Diego Museum of Art is proud to announce the much-anticipated reveal of its newly restored historic façade.
SDMA's richly-detailed building has been obscured by cladding for almost ten years. In this time, much-needed restoration has taken place to preserve the façade and ensure the longevity of the Spanish Renaissance-style building.
Please join us on Friday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m. as we reveal the façade and SDMA appears in its original handsome form once again.
Remarks will be made by SDMA Executive Director Derrick R. Cartwright, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, Senator Christine Kehoe, Councilmember Toni Atkins, and Immediate Board President Pam Cesak, followed by docent tours of the façade's intricate iconography.
The restoration of SDMA's façade was generously funded by the State of California and the City of San Diego. Additional operating support during this time provided by Luce Forward and Soltek Pacific.
