Donations made to the Museum allow for the presentation of exhibitions, outreach
programs to the community, research, publications, and conservation of works of art.
Individuals, corporations and foundations can make a difference by contributing to SDMA.
Individual Giving:

SDMA is supported by individual gifts at every level. Memberships are only one way
individuals can make a difference. Other ways to give include:
- Donations made by cash, check or credit cards further the Museum's mission by assisting
in the development and presentation of exhibitions, education and outreach programs,
publications, and conservation.
- Gifts of Stock can be made in any amount.
- Tribute Gifts made in honor or memory of loved ones.
- Planned Gifts are an excellent way to support the Museum. Bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and donations to the Life Income Fund are ways to ensure your support of the Museum for years to come.
- Real Estate Donations of land, property, or residences make excellent gifts to the Museum. You can deed your residence to the Museum while continuing to use it as your home.
- Life Insurance policies may be taken out with SDMA as the beneficiary.

Corporate Giving:
Corporate donations are an ideal way to support the arts while receiving
recognition and visibility. Corporations like Sempra Energy,
Mercedes-Benz, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America have impacted their community by
supporting exhibitions and programs at the San Diego Museum of Art. Become a Partner in Art and join the
growing community of businesses who support SDMA.
Foundation Giving:
SDMA is supported by a host of local, regional, and national foundations. Recent
donations from foundations have allowed the Museum to present original exhibitions,
to conserve vital artworks, and offer important outreach programs. Donations from The
J. Paul Getty Grant Program, the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, the Gerald T. and
Inez Grant Parker Foundation, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, The
James Irvine Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Christensen Fund, and the Legler
Benbough Foundation have made a significant impact on programs available through the San Diego Museum
of Art. If you are affiliated with a foundation, and are interested in making a donation, or are
interested in receiving a proposal from the San Diego Museum of Art, please contact Barbara Broderick, Grants Writer, at (619) 696-1928 or
