The Museum offers a wide
variety of programs in the Museum's galleries and in classrooms for students, as well as enrichment
opportunities for educators.

(Collaborative Art Resources for Educators) is a unique collaboration between the Museum of Contemporary Art,
the Museum of Photographic Arts and the San Diego Museum of Art. Its Web site features art
curriculum ideas for grades K-12.

Free Transportation
Free bus transportation is available for all schools in San Diego County on a
first-come, first-served basis. Just mention your transportation needs when you
register for a tour, order your bus upon receiving museum confirmation, and send the
bill to the Museum for reimbursement.
Museum and Bus Parking
Bus drop-off for students is at the white curb located between the Organ Pavilion and the House of Hospitality on Pan American Road. Buses should be parked at Inspiration
Point off Park Blvd. north of Presidents Way. Free car and van parking is available behind the Organ Pavilion and in
parking lots throughout Balboa Park.
Handicapped parking is available in front of the Museum. A ramp for wheelchair access is located in front of the Museum entrance.
Scholarships for Educators and Students
The Museum Art School will be offering a limited number of scholarships for educators
and students throughout the 2003-2004 school year. Scholarships are for educators who
would otherwise be unable to enroll in MAS courses because of either limited finances
or inadequate institutional budgets. Students must be enrolled in the free or
reduced-price lunch program to qualify for the scholarship. Winter/Spring 2005 classes.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year, but we encourage applicants to
submit the required information as soon as possible as scholarships are limited and
awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about how to apply

Earn Credit
Credentialed teachers may take most of our classes or workshops for credit through
California State University San Marcos. Learn more! Winter/Spring 2005 classes.
Student Lunches
Sack lunches may be stored at the coat check and picked up after the tour. Classes may eat their lunches on the open grass areas in the park.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel a field trip, please
call (619) 231-1996 at least two weeks in advance. It is a courtesy to the docents and will enable us to make your time slot
available to other classes. Schools with frequent cancellations will be considered a lower priority for future tour reservations. There is a $50
cancellation fee for Children's Workshops cancelled less than two wekks before the scheduled date.
