 Internships
  • Carolyn Wolf 2008 Summer Internship
  • Other museum internships

The San Diego Museum of Art's education department is seeking upper-level undergraduate or graduate students studying education, art history, studio art, art education, or museum education for a variety of internship positions. Education department internships are designed to provide students with opportunities to apply classroom skills in a real-world environment while critically thinking about how the Museum functions as a contemporary educational tool.

Internship positions are available at various times throughout the year in:

    • Hands-on classroom instruction
    • Curriculum development
    • Art history research and application
    • Exhibition and program evaluation
    • Special event planning, promotion, and production
The education department internship program does not currently offer any paid internship positions. Hours are flexible and all interns are strongly encouraged to obtain credit for internships through their academic institution.
