Eleanor Antin: Historical Takes
July 19-November 2, 2008
Organized by SDMA, this solo exhibition features works by celebrated feminist artist Eleanor Antin. The exhibition will be the first to focus on Antin's recent series of large-scale tableaux photographs based on Greek and Roman history and mythology. The three series are comprised classical narrative enactments, and include the artist's friends and models who pose in exquisitely staged settings shot in various locations throughout San Diego.
