SDMA, Timken, Mingei, and Japanese Friendship Garden
Free with museum admission at SDMA and Mingei International Museum
In conjunction with Kimono as Art, on view at SDMA and the Timken, and Shibui: The Subtle Beauty of Japanese Craft at Mingei, the three museums are presenting a special day of guided tours, gallery talks, koto music, and artist lectures and demonstrations. In addition to events at all three museums, the Japanese Friendship Garden will also host tours in English and Spanish, demonstrate sushi making, and hold a tea ceremony.
